Atkin – (Elliot) Harvey, on Tuesday, July 18th. Cherished husband of Celia for 54 years, adored father of Lisa and Adam and Danny and Jani. Proud Zaidie of Ryan and Avi Bromberg, Rachel Bromberg and Lorne Meyer and Justin and Amanda Atkin. Much beloved son of the late Ida and Murray Atkin and much beloved brother of Marsha and Stan Zinberg, Cheryl and Shimmy Plener and Randi and David Atlin. Also beloved son-in-law of the late Sonia and Manley Tessler and brother-in-law of Reesa and David Feinstein and Debbie Tessler and Ed Glina. Harvey was a proud uncle to 18 nieces and nephews and a great-uncle to 42 great nieces and nephews. He leaves behind many treasured friends. So, what could have led to the historic low rate of abortions and the declining number of unintended pregnancies? There is no evidence to suggest that abstinence rates are changing. And while increased abortion restrictions have translated to decreasing rates of abortion in some states, it has not been consistently correlated in all states. What seems to be correlated across all age groups and regions is that the overall use of highly effective LARC has doubled from 6 percent to 12 percent. And we know that women who consistently use contraception account for only a small fraction (approximately 5 percent) of the women who report an unintended pregnancy .
