This is excellent info. The issue I have with trying to gain any kind of weight is probably more psychological than anything. I was obese for over ten years after getting out of the army. Lost over 50lbs through mostly diet changes and light exercise after a serious health scare. Became what is called skinny-fat because I was grossly out of shape. Knew that barbell strength training was the way to go but have a real phobia about getting fat again. And I’m 50 now so I know metabolism changes. The Lift Big thing I get – it’s the Eat Big part of the equation that I struggle with.
